How to monitor stock volume during trading day

Intraday monitoring of stock volume can be very helpful in discovering stock with abnormal stock volume already during trading day.

If you have prepared list of stock you want to monitor for possible stock trade, then it is important to know if current stock move is accompanied with strong volume.

Every pullback move or breakout move accompanied with abnormal stock volume or above average stock trading volume represents much better opportunity for profitable trade.

So how you can do this ?

It is easy. All you need is free stock trading software Quotetracker and real time data source (like your broker or specialized data provider).

Then you have to define your list of stocks you want to monitor. And finally you have to set view in Quotetracker to have included these two columns : Vol% and Avg Volume.

Avg volume is Average daily stock trading volume delivered from Yahoo finance web site

Vol% is % level of current volume to Average volume.You can see both important columns on this screenshot from my personal trading computer.
