Also I met a lot of people trading without any idea of trend during my trading career . I noticed that such persons were totally concentrated to their own ideas about what stock or stock market must do . They try to order market what to do. And market fails to do and such traders also fails over the time.

I found that only way to survive on stock market is to identify prevailing stock market trend and / or trend in specific sector or stock.

My core stock trading strategy and also ETF trading strategy are based on stock market trend analysis.

The reason is that your personal trading account or personal accounts of every retail trader is too small to has ability to move market, sector or stock. These moves are arranged by inflow or outflow of huge amount of capital provided by large institutional investors like investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, mutual funds , insurers and so...

So to trade against the trend is like to swim against very strong stream in the river. It is much easier to jump into the boat and let stream to move boat without necessity to use our own energy.

It is not very complicated to find what is current prevailing trend on stock market. Technical analysis has several instruments which are very helpful in this matter.
