My ETF Trading
part 3
Description of my best ETF trading system
My ETF Trading strategies are applicable also for other types of ETF stocks. I use Bond ETFs, International ETF and Commodity ETF stocks, too.
Bond ETF Group is based on several bond ETFs. I active monitor these bond ETF stocks: IEF, LQD, SHY, TLH, TLT, HYG and MBB.
How to use
relative strength
inside this group ? I compare bonds ETF only within this group. When I find strong or weak ETF I wait. I do not make ETF trade strategy setup immediately. I want to see some good
stock chart pattern
developed. Or see the price on important level of
support or resistance
. Only in such cases I am ready to enter ETF Trade in Bond ETF stock.
Another group of individual ETFs are International ETF stocks. There are a lot of ETF stock for specific countries or regions. I personally divided them into these sub-groups: Europe, Asia and Americas. These ETF stocks I have included in my International ETF groups:
- Europe: EWO, EWQ, EWG, EWP, EWL, EWU, GUR, EZU, FEX, RSX
- Asia: FXI, GXC, EWA, EWJ, EWM, EWS,EWY,EWT, INP, PIN and also FXP
- Americas: EWZ, EWC, GML, EWW
Again, my looking for best ETF trade setup is based on relative strength analysis withing each group. Then I use stock chart pattern analysis and support / resistance analysis.Trades with ETF stocks in these two groups are not so frequent. And also duration of such trade is longer - typically several weeks instead of several days.
Commodity ETFs are also included in list of ETF stocks I monitor for possible ETF trade setup. There are these symbols in my list: DBA, DBC, GLD, SLV, UNG and USO
